Public Patent Applications Available for Advanced Hardware-based Security Technology.

TORONTO, ON. October 3, 2007 – Universal Data Protection Corporation’s (UDPi) patents for Microprocessor and Optical Media security are now public, offering interested parties the opportunity to overview the hard-wired security method.

The patents are available for viewing at: http://www.udpi.ca/applications_patentinfo.html
UDPi encourages hardware-based inherent protection as an effective approach to security that does not involve software-based methods, which are hacked regularly. With UDPi’s technology, advanced security capabilities are woven into the fabric of the processor. Although advanced hardware security methods are available in extremely powerful and expensive devices, UDPi’s technology offers smaller, low-cost devices an opportunity to be secured efficiently without the prerequisites past securities required.

UDPi’s technology secures both internal and external information, protecting digital data and intellectual property (IP) at levels not matched in current security offerings
