Background of the technology Universal Data Protection Corporation’s patent pending unique combination of Double Axis Security™ and Stealth Data Delimiter™ technology scrambles data and protects game consoles and software from data piracy.
Microcontrollers and microprocessors form the platform for the Universal Data Protection Corporation (UDPi™) security technology.
The UDPi game consoles and software application has low system overhead and does not rely on a math co-processor or a cryptography processor to encode or decode data, resulting in the UDPi method not limiting the game console performance, while increasing the security integrity of the reading device and gaming software. In addition, time sensitive key options are available for rental centers or other scenarios in which there is a desire to control the accessibility time of gaming software.
The UDPi game console and software application creates Active Consumers, resulting in opportunities for strengthening the online community.
The gaming software produces key 1, the game
console produces key 2 and the combination
of key 1 and key 2 provides the game console
system with key 3, used to decrypt the gaming
software. Without these keys the information
on the software is unreadable – the
team at UDPi calls this inaccessible data
Digital Fog™.
UDPi technology is backwards compatible,
so the game console can use existing media
while offering software developers a clear
path to secure media platform.
